I’m trying my hardest to make sure this blog doesn’t become only about comic book movies, but with all the announcements it’s so gosh danged hard! Figured I’d put the most recent developments all into one post so:
D.C. is expecting a script for Flash to come in by the end of the year. It’ll be written by Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green, who most recently wrote the script for The Green Lantern.
When asked about the possibility of a Justice League Movie, D.C.’s chief creative officer, Geoff Johns, said “I’m going to speak frankly: I think our characters are bigger than Marvel’s.” He went on to say “that he’d rather spend time building each character on his or her own rather than smashing them together.” Pretty ballsy to say, we’ll see if he’s right.
A week after announcing that Emma Stone has been cast as Gwen Stacy, the Spider-Man reboot announces it’s villain will be played by Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill, The Replacements). No news on who the villain’ll be. I’d love to see some Mysterio action, but that’s pretty doubtful.
Well, I’ll keep postin’ em as I hear em. I swear I’ll write something of substance on here some day. But until then, COMICS COMICS COMICS!
